Civil Sub-Engineer Positions Vacancy @ ITECO Engineering Ltd.

Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in Nepal is providing Technical Assistance (TA) for the Government of Nepal (GoN) / Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development / Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Roads for implementation of Local Roads Bridge Programme (LRBP) - Phase I in 75 districts of Nepal. Qualification and Experience: The Sub Engineer (Overseer) shall have an intermediate degree in civil engineering. S/he shall have at least 4 years experience of working in the field of rural transport infrastructure, preferably in bridges. The candidate must have capability to supervise the construction of motorable bridges as per designs provided with various alternative materials and structural arrangements. S/He should have supervised construction of at least two motorable bridges of different types such as RCC, suspension, arch, truss, compact, pre-fabricated bridges etc. Experience in designing and implementing bridge rehabilitation; planning & monitoring; geo-technical and hydraulic investigations for the bridges and interpreting the findings there-of;application of labour based technologies in bridge construction and social mobilization will be an added advantage.

Qualification and Experience: The Policy Adviser will have a Masters degree in engineering with at least 15 years' professional experience of which at least 5 year are at senior management level. S/he shall have previous field experience throughout Nepal of infrastructure projects. S/he shall have experience of donor funded projects. S/he must be conversant with ADB procedures. Previous experience of ADB funded infrastructure projects at senior level will be added advantage. An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the government agencies at central level and of local institutions and experiences of working with and through such institutions are required. S/he shall have very good written and spoken English and conversant with computer applications

The main objective KEPTA is to assess whether public works programmes (PWPs) could play a significant role in a national social protection strategy.

 

KEPTA is recruiting following positions for a year contract, with the possibility of extension.

 

1. Position: Technical Cluster Facilitator- 1

Duty Station: Cluster office, Jumla/Kalikot with frequent travel to project sites.
Purpose of the job: Under the guidance, the position holder manages cluster level activities, including planning, implementing and monitoring the programme.

Qualifications & experience: Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5 years of experience OR Bachelor in Civil Engineering with 2 years of experience in survey, design, supervision and monitoring of range of community based infrastructures

 

2. Position: Sub-Engineer - 4

Duty Station: Jumla/Kalikot with frequent travel inside the district.
Purpose of the job: Assist and facilitate Karnali Employment Programme (KEP) in engineering compliance, effective enforcement of new KEP guidelines and monitoring of activities in all the VDCs.

Qualifications & experience: Certificate in Civil Engineering with 5 years of experience in survey, design, supervision and monitoring of range of community based infrastructures.
