Civil Sub-Engineer Positions Vacancy @ ITECO Engineering Ltd.

Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in Nepal is providing Technical Assistance (TA) for the Government of Nepal (GoN) / Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development / Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Roads for implementation of Local Roads Bridge Programme (LRBP) - Phase I in 75 districts of Nepal. More than 100 motorable bridges in local roads shall be built in this phase.
ITECO Engineering Ltd., Switzerland, on behalf of the SDC has set up a technical team at central and district levels to support the GoN in implementing the activities of LRBP and intends to recruit the following positions from the candidates belonging to Dalit, Janajati and women only, who are currently under-represented in the team.
 
DISTRICT SUPPORT TEAM - IN THE DISTRICTS TO BE SPECIFIED LATER
1. SUB ENGINEER : 20 positions
Qualification and Experience: The Sub Engineer (Overseer) shall have an intermediate degree in civil engineering. S/he shall have at least 4 years experience of working in the field of rural transport infrastructure, preferably in bridges. The candidate must have capability to supervise the construction of motorable bridges as per designs provided with various alternative materials and structural arrangements. S/He should have supervised construction of at least two motorable bridges of different types such as RCC, suspension, arch, truss, compact, pre-fabricated bridges etc. Experience in designing and implementing bridge rehabilitation; planning & monitoring; geo-technical and hydraulic investigations for the bridges and interpreting the findings there-of;application of labour based technologies in bridge construction and social mobilization will be an added advantage.
