The Last Goodbye!

Five years ago, 28 March 2013 to be exact, Mr. Janardan Rimal set out to create a platform for students of engineering inside Nepal with simplified engineering job search as the foundation brick.

Along the way, with the change in management through engineerkoghar Team and The Lazy Gang, we created a blog-site and an Android app that put on bricks to our goal. We are proud of the products we built, but even more so, we are grateful for the engineering community that made it grow.

Today we are announcing that after five years of helping the students of engineering in discovering job openings and other informations on related field, unable to create a platform with sustainable returns, we are shutting down Engineerको घर and its services today, 11 June, 2018.

While it's sad to say goodbye to Engineerको घर, we, The Lazy Gang, are eager to put our hearts into exploring the necessities of the community and creating new products.

However, Engineerको घर Community will still be active to help you find peers, connect, make friends, ask, share, help, promote, discuss and innovate.

All the best, and may you all always find what you are looking for in life.

Notice on Presentation Contest celebrating International Girls in ICT Day

On the auspicious occasion of International Girls in ICT Day on 23rd April 2015, Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) is organizing a Presentation Contest on "Expand Horizons, Change Attitudes". Hence, interested girls from any school/college/university +2/undergraduate level) are requested to send their presentations (in Nepali or English) not exceeding 20 slides along with a copy of valid student identity card to NTA at rkbasukala@nta.gov.np or spandey@nta.gov.np within 13th April 2015. The winners of the presentation contest shall be awarded by NTA on Girls in ICT Day, 23rd April, 2015.

KVDA Park Design Competition from Society of Nepalese Architects(SONA)

Society of Nepalese Architects (SONA) in association with Kathmandu Valley Development Authority (KVDA) announces DESIGN COMPETITION FOR PLANNING OF PROPOSED PARK CONSTRUCTION IN GOKARNA SANITARY LANDFILL SITE. The competition is open to all the updated SONA members. An eminent panel of Jury shall select the winning entry. Cash prizes and certificates will be awarded to the winning entries.

Who can participate?

• The competition is open to all the architects working in Nepal and registered updated member of SONA and meeting professional requirements.
• Architects (architectural teams) may participate in the competition, if they meet the following requirements:
• Architects participating in the competition shall be duly registered in Nepal Engineering Council
• Architectural teams participating in the competition shall have at least one registered in Nepal Engineering Council architect who will be the team leader.
• At the time of registration, competitors shall prove their professional competence by a duly certified copy of a formal document on their license /registration / certification/ authorization.

Submission deadline: 13h October, 2014(27th Ashwin, 2071) before 5 pm.

Call for Participation in RENTECH 2014

Renewable Energy Technology Symposium(RENTECH 2014)

Kathmandu University, School of Engineering, is going to organize 4th one day symposium on Renewable Energy Technology (RENTECH 2014) on 12 September 2014 (Friday), to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The purpose of RENTECH symposium is to facilitate free interchange of ideas and experiences among the participants on renewable energy technologies being or been researched, developed, or deployed in Nepal. It may include review on topics that might be vital for technology transfer from abroad. 

Researchers, developers, promoters, and implementers of renewable energy technology in Nepal are hereby invited to present their work in the symposium and submit article for publication in the symposium compendium. 

Presenters are required to submit article (full paper) by 15 August 2014.

Also, interested audiences in related field are advised to register for the Symposium.

The deadline for submission of participation information is 15 August 2014

The participation in the symposium is FREE.

Acceptance notification for presenters and audience will be made by 22 August 2014

The symposium organization is coordinated by RenewableNepal. RenewableNepal is a Programme for supporting research based industrial development in Nepal. The Programme is jointly managed by Kathmandu University (KU), Nepal, and SINTEF Energy Research (SEfAS), Norway. It is funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad).
