Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in Nepal is providing Technical Assistance (TA) and grant supports to the Government of Nepal (GoN) through Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development and its Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Roads to implement the Decentralized Rural Infrastructure and Livelihood Project-Additional Financing in different 18 hill and mountain districts of Nepal funded by ADB, OFID, SDC and GON.
As part of the TA from Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) ITECO Engineering Ltd., Switzerland, is Central Implementation Support Consultants (CISC) of DRILP-AF to support the DoLIDAR Project Coordination Unit in implementing the activities of DRILP-AF at central and district level. To supplement its technical team, ITECO Engineering Ltd. seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced Nepali nationals for the positions below:
1. Policy Adviser (PA): Kathmandu Based - one position - Member of Core Management Team
Qualification and Experience: The Policy Adviser will have a Masters degree in engineering with at least 15 years' professional experience of which at least 5 year are at senior management level. S/he shall have previous field experience throughout Nepal of infrastructure projects. S/he shall have experience of donor funded projects. S/he must be conversant with ADB procedures. Previous experience of ADB funded infrastructure projects at senior level will be added advantage. Similarly experience of working for procurement of Consulting Services/ Works and Goods following GoN and ADB/WB is required.
An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the government agencies at central level and of local institutions and experiences of working with and through such institutions are required. It is mandatory that the proposed Policy Adviser be registered with Nepal Engineering Council in accordance with the Nepal engineering Council Act, 2055. S/he shall have very good written and spoken English and conversant with computer applications
2. DISC-District Team Leader (DTL): District Based - two positions
Qualification and Experience: The DISC - District Team Leader will have a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a minimum of 7 years' relevant professional experience. The DISC-DTL is required to be registered with the Nepal Engineering Council in accordance with the Nepal Engineering Council Act, 2055.
