Rural Access Programme - Phase 3 (RAP3) is a 4-year DFID funded programme operating in 14 Districts of Nepal. It aims to improve people's incomes and resilience through employment, sustainable access to markets and improved access to economic opportunities.
The Programme is in the process of adding staff to lead its busy roads programme and establishing a data-base for further vacancies expected in the near future for the following hill-time district based positions:
1. District Team Leaders (Road Asset Management) - Western Hills Region
a) Must be degree qualified in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 8 years relevant professional experience in related road assignments since graduation,
b) Have at least 2 years of experience in the position of 'Team Leader' (Engineering) or equivalent managerial experience,
c) Should demonstrate a strong managerial background in road asset management including involvement in road condition surveys, road asset management planning, public procurement and road maintenance/ construction supervision.
2. Engineering Officer (Road Asset Management) - Far Western Hills Region
a) Must possess at least a degree in Civil Engineering with ideally at least 7 years relevant professional experience since graduating,
b) Should demonstrate a strong practical background in road asset management including involvement in road condition surveys, road asset management planning, public procurement and road maintenance/ construction supervision.
Preference may be given to those having experience gained on earlier phases of RAP. The assignments are expected to start in August 2015. RAP-3 offers an excellent package of remuneration commensurate with the required level of expertise.
