Call for Application for Designing Electronic Data Collection Platform @ Helen Keller International

Helen Keller International is an international non-profit organization established in 1915. We save the sight and lives of millions of people living in 21 countries in Africa and Asia, as well as in the United States. HKI Nepal is working with the Tufts University management Nutrition Innovation Lab for research in nutrition and agriculture.
 
HKI is seeking an EOI for Data Programmer who will be tasked with the following:
Front-end data collection tools: The goal of this task is to develop data collection tools using Open Data Kit Collect (ODK Collect) that will enable the team to capture data using an electronic survey instrument that resides on Android tablets.
Localization of data collection tools: The goal of this task is to present the survey tool on mobile devices in different languages.
Equipment specifications: The goal of this task is to provide technical specifications and recommendations on frontend devices for data collection and storage; and server specifications for data repository and management.
Data transfer tools: The goal of this task is to ensure that data gathered using tablets is transferred to the server via the Internet.
Server setup: The goal of this task is to configure a data repository server that will provide for the necessary functions for survey forms, data collected and mapping.
User support: The goal of this task is to provide ongoing technical support to the team.
Training and user guides: The goal of this task is to conduct training on the use/management of the frontend data collection applications.
 
Deadline to apply: March 29, 2015
