Construction Manager Position Job Vacancy @ a Construction Company

Reputed 'A' Class Construction Company urgently requires "CONSTRUCTION MANAGER" for large Building Project of UK standards in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Education: Master in Civil Engineering preferably from UK or equivalent universities.

Experience: Over 20 years of total experience & at least 10 years experience in building projects of similar size & magnitude of this project in similar position with international construction companies working under UK or European Standards preferably in UK or Europe.

Language & Technical Proficiency: Higher degree of fluency in English with sound technical knowledge & should be able to demonstrate his technical skill during execution of project. Proficiency in use of Microsoft programs, Excel, PowerPoint, Project Standard, Word, etc.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• To work along with Project Manager, Site Engineers & other personnel, and to carry out duties assigned by Project Manager.

• Should be able to understand complex drawings, specifications, BOQ, contract documents, etc.

• To interface & communicate regularly with international client & consultants regarding quality, cost & project progress by direct conversations or by arranging or attending meetings for the robustness of project and to initiate innovative ideas to ensure to complete project in time.

• To be responsible for overall quality of works to international standards including material quality tests including knowledge in testing and commissioning of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) works.

• Taco-ordinate with civil and building services works during work progress.

• To have thorough knowledge of international products thereby planning ahead for long lead items (local or overseas) on the basis of approved work program effectively including development of cost management plan for the project.

• To prepare monthly project progress reports, newsletters, cash flow diagrams, project schedules in MS project to help the project to track in right way & any other documents e.g. 0 & M manuals, method statements, defect lists, handover documents etc.

• To monitor efficiently the performance of engineers, foremen, sub-contractors & ensure to deliver the perfect work on time.

• To be 1st responder to potential delays & monitoring & reporting on progress, risks, quality, etc.
