ORGUT Consulting has been selected by DANIDA to provide support to the UNNATI Programme in the Eastern Development Region of Nepal. The Programme focuses on support to the local government and the private sector in strengthening market-based inclusive growth and in reducing poverty. Agricultural commodity-based, value chain development and infrastructure are major components in the Programme. ORGUT is looking for four District-based, Infrastructure Specialists to be based in Sankhuwasabha, Taplejung, Bhojpur, and Ilam Districts. The positions are initially for 2.5 years with a possible extension to 5 years. Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Civil Engineering with a Master's degree in a relevant area
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in diversified, rural infrastructure planning and construction including quality control
- Experience working in labor-based, participatory development of rural Infrastructure
- Experience in training and capacity building, at the district level, public and private stakeholders in infrastructure development
- Experience working with a wide variety of public and private stakeholders at the district level, especially those districts included in the UNNATI Programme
- Experience working on community-based infrastructure works with local participation in the identification and planning of infrastructure
- Good English language skills and experience from donor-financed projects
