Plan Nepal is seeking to recruit competent, committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic candidates for the project positions below, subject to DFID funding.
About the Community Development Programme (CDP) Project:
The UK's Department for International Development (DFID) is implementing a three year Non-State Led Service Delivery Component of the Nepal Local Governance Support Programme (NLGSP) named 'Community Development Programme' between November 2014 and October 2017. The CDP will provide direct service delivery to the deprived communities of a total 18 districts of which 9 are difficult Terai districts and 9 remote districts of the mid and far-west development regions of Nepal. The main objective of the CDP is to ensure local governments are more capable, through intensified support for 18 districts that have particular problems delivering services (for example remoteness and insecurity). The overall goal of CDP is to help reduce poverty complementing to LGCDP results.

Core Qualifications & Experience:
• Masters Degree in Intemational Development/ Social Science/Public Health/Civil Engineering/Management or relevant field
• Proven competency and experience in progressive leadership position, managing large programmes focused on community based development
• Experience in managing DAD funded programmes in a senior level position, knowledge of key DFID rules and regulations, but not limited to financial reporting standards related to UK Govemment contracts, prior experience of Chief of Party/Project Director an added advantage
• Demonstrated ability to implement projects with rigorous timelines and deliverables and to track programme quality through donor approved monitoring and systems
• English and Nepali language competencies both verbal and written, especially report writing with excellent communication and presentation skills
Key responsibilities:
• Design and plan the programme for effective delivery with the strategic engagement of all stakeholders
•
Lead and direct all programme team and project field in operations,
administration and logistic, ensure the best of its ability in the
delivery
• Oversee management, delivery and monitoring of sub-grants
•
Ensure quality monitoring of the project performance at community,
partner in national level following corporate guidelines of Plan Nepal
and DFID
• Ensure quality procurement, effective utilization and secured in a manner compliant with contract and Plan Nepal regulation
