Nepal Water for Health (NEWAH) a national level NGO working in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector invites applications from qualified Nepalese citizen for the following position.
Post: Technical Supervisor
Main Responsibilities: S/he will be responsible for conducting technical and social survey, design, estimation, overseeing Implementation, monitoring and reporting of the drinking water and sanitation programmes.
Required qualification and competencies:
- Diploma degree from a recognized university in Civil Engineering with two year's work experience in rural drinking water supply and sanitation sector.
- Computer operating skills in MS word, Excel, MS Access and Auto Cad programme.
- Capable of communicating and interacting with rural communities and sector professionals.
- High degree of commitment and willingness to work with rural poor and excluded groups/ communities.
- Good communication skills in English and Nepali languages.
Condition:
- The position is based in Pokhara or any other development region.
- Especially women and candidates from under privileged castes and ethnic groups are encouraged to apply.
- Six month probationary period extendable to one year contract with satisfactory performance and thereafter renewable on a yearly basis.
- Salary and other conditions will be as per the rules of the organization.
- The post will be decided on the basis of a written test followed by an interview.
