Post Title: WASH DRM Officer
Post Level: National Officer (NO) - A
Appointment Type: Temporary Appointment (up to 31 December 2014)
Post Location: Kathmandu
Purpose of the post:
Under the Supervision of Emergency WASH Specialist and in coordination with WASH team, the incumbent will provide support to UNICEF and Government - Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Disaster Risk Management (DRM) team in planning, implementation and monitoring of various WASH DRM and emergency related activities both at national and local level. The incumbent will be closely working with Government counterpart and spending most of his/her time with the Government and frequent travel to program district.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
• University degree in Engineering and Social Sciences

• The candidate must be computer literate with professional ability to work with database and must have excellent written and spoken English/Nepali skills
• Demonstrated management and coordination skills especially in the field of Disaster Risk Management and Emergencies and Its integration.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships, both within and outside the organization.
