Supervising Engineer Position Vacancy - KUBK-ISFP

Kisankalagi Unnat Biu-Bijan Karyakram/Improved Seed for Farmers Program(KUKB-ISFP) is an IFAD funded operation to support accelerated agriculture growth. It aims at developing the formal seed sector as well as improving smallholder livestock through improved partnership with the private sector in the hills of Nepal. The Program is designed to support two key aspects of agriculture sector hampering productivity: the improvement of formal seed(cereals and vegetables) and improvement of smallholder livestock (goats and dairy) in order to increase income of the poor rural households(hhs). The project became effective since 02, December, 2012 and will continue for seven years. The Ministry of Agriculture Development is the Implementing Agency with Heifer International, Agro Enterprise Center(AEC) of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries and Small Farmers Development Bank/Nepal Agriculture Cooperative Central Federation Limited are the implementing partners.

KUBK-ISFP thus invites interested and appropriately qualified Nepalese citizens to apply for the following position as per the following minimum requirements:

Position: Supervising Engineer - 1

Required Qualifications and Experiences:

• Minimum of a B.E.(Civil Engineering) or equivalent in irrigation or Agri-engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, primarily in agriculture programmes.
• Minimum of three years of experience working with micro and on-farm irrigation systems and in preparing cost estimates and budgets.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software would be a strong advantage.
