Senior Technical Project Manager Post Vacancy - Renewable World

Renewable World is a not-for-profit organization who tackles poverty, reduces vulnerability and provides a development pathway not dependent on carbon for "the poorest of the poor". We do this through enabling access to affordable, reliable renewable energy services.

We are looking for a senior technical project manager with strong renewable energy technical skills and experience to design, develop and deliver a portfolio of South Asian projects and support the regional and global project teams with your technical knowledge. You will have a proven track record in the design and delivery of projects in a renewable energy context linked to livelihood improvements.

Reporting to the Global Programming Manager and working on the ground directly through local private and not for profit partners, you should be technically experienced, a clear communicator and results oriented and with the capacity to work with a range of stakeholders to build their technical capacity and understanding.

We are looking for a high quality person to take our programmes to the next level by supporting the local and global project teams and to develop a strong and supportive network across the private, public, donor and not-for-profit communities.

Location: Kathmandu, with frequent local travel within Nepal, and occasional travel to East Africa, Bangladesh and UK.

Essential: Minimum of 5-years relevant experience and a Bachelor Degree in Energy Engineering, Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy(Solar, Biogas, Water Pumping, etc) or similar disciplines; Engineering/Technical experience of small scale renewable energy systems, site and resource assessment and system design, specification and commissioning; project management experience and expertise; strong MS-Excel and financial analysis skills and experience.
