Request of the Expression of Interest for the Consulting Services(Individual)

Company/Organization: Nepal-India Regional Trade and Transport Project(NIRTTP)

Position: Environmental Safeguard Specialist

(NIRTTP/PCO/S/IND-) - National/Intermittent

Duration: 90 working days

Location: PCO/MoC

Key Qualification:

- Master's Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering/Environmental Science/ Environmental management/ Environmental Assessment/ Forestry or related field with at least 7 years of experience in the related field and specific experience as environmental officer/ environmental engineer/ environmental specialist in at least three similar infrastructure works; OR at least Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Science/ Environmental management/ Environmental Assessment/ Forestry or related field with at least 10 years of experience in the related field and specific experience as environmental officer/environmental engineer/ environmental specialist in at least five similar infrastructure works;

- Good knowledge of EIA/IEE;

- Good command in IT application such as MS Office and other basic computer skills;

- Experience in World Bank or other development partner-funded projects is preferable;

- Excellent knowledge of English, Nepali/local languages.
