Caritas Nepal is a national humanitarian non-profit making social organization. Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is assisting Caritas Nepal to help rebuild Nepal after the devastating earthquakes of 25 April and 12 May. CRS has a long-term commitment to providing high quality relief and recovery assistance to help Nepalese build back better. The program will include distributions of shelter and other non-food items and cash programming for thousands of households in affected areas in and around Gorkha.
Open Positions and their basic requirements are below. Applicants must be Nepalese citizen. Majority of the positions require excellent written and spoken English, as well as competency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel):
All positions are based in Gorkha
Shelter Engineer (1 position Gorkha):
4 years shelter construction experience. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - preferred in civil engineering, environmental engineering or public health. Manage shelter recovery field activities and work closely with local district engineers and VDC officials for project surveys. Plan and supervise implementation of the project.
Shelter Officers (3 positions Gorkha): 2 years shelter construction experience. Minimum Civil Sub-Overseer Program Course or Technical School Leaving Certificate (TSLC) in Civil Engineering - preferred in Building Construction. Supervise shelter recovery field activities and work closely with local district engineers and VDC officials for project surveys. Supervise implementation of the project.
