Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in Nepal is providing Technical Assistance (TA) and grant supports to the Government of Nepal (GoN) through Ministry of, Federal Affairs and Local Development and its Department of Local Infrastructure Development I and Agricultural Roads (DoLIDAR) to implement the Decentralized Rural Infrastructure and Livelihood Project-Additional Financing (DIRLIP-AF) in 18 different hill and mountain 1 districts of Nepal funded by ADB, OFID, SDC and GON.
As part of the TA from SDC, AF - ITECO, Switzerland is Central Implementation Support Consultants (CISC) of DRILP - AF to support the DoLIDAR Project Coordination Unit in implementing the activities of DRILP-AF at central and district level. To supplement its technical team, AF - ITECO, Switzerland seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced Nepali nationals for the positions below:
1. Community Development Specialist (CDS): Based in Nepalgunj for 10 project districts in mid and far western region - one position - Female applicants preferred
Qualification and Experience: The CDS will have as a minimum qualification of a Masters degree and at least 7 years' of professional experience of working in rural sector. The CDS will have previous work experience of at least 3 years' in rural road projects with labour based approach and having community development/livelihood component. The CDS will have previous experience of at least one year of directly supervising, monitoring and mentoring the social mobilisers working in rural infrastructure projects. The OS shall have knowledge of Government's as well as ADB safeguards policy statement, and procedures for implementation of rural road projects. The CDS shall have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Nepali, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
2. District Team Leader (DTL): District Based - three positions
Qualification and Experience: The District Implementation Support Consultant (DISC) - District Team Leader will have a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a minimum of 5 years' relevant professional experience. The DISC - DTL is required to be registered with the Nepal Engineering Council in accordance with the Nepal Engineering Council Act, 2055.
