Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland have signed a bilateral agreement to initiate a SMALL IRRIGATION PROGRAMME (SIP) - PHASE I, in nine districts of Nepal namely Ramechhap, Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Udayapur, Sindhuli, Achham, Dailekh, Jajarkot and Kalikot. Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) will provide a financial and technical supports to the Government of Nepal (GoN) represented by Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD) and its Department of Local Infrastructure and Agricultural Roads (DoLIDAR).
Joint-Venture (JV) of GEOCE Consultants (P) Ltd., Total Management Services Pvt Ltd. (TMS) and Aviyaan Consulting (P) Ltd, in this context is setting up a — TA team on behalf of SDC to technically support DoLIDAR and Programme districts. In order to supplement its team, the JV is seeking applications from the qualified and experienced Nepali Nationals for the position as follows:
1. DISTRICT IRRIGATION ENGINEERS: 9 positions (1 each in programme district)
Qualification and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with 5 years experience in planning design and implementation of small irrigation systems. The expert should be familiar with the use of GPS survey methodologies, be proficient in use of GIS and AutoCAD software.
2. SUB-ENGINEERS(SEs) and ASSISTANT SUB-ENGINEERS (ASEs): SEs - 9 positions (1 each in programme district) and ASEs - 36 positions (4 each in programme district)
Qualification and Experience: IE in civil engineering, for sub-engineers and a Diploma in Civil Engineering from CTEVT recognized university / TSLC from CTEVT for assistant sub engineers with a minimum of 3 years experience in planning and design small scale irrigation schemes. Familiar with the use of GPS survey methodologies and the use of GIS and AutoCAD software.

Duration of Employment: The initial contracts for the above positions are for period up to February 2019.
