Regional IT Officer Position Job Vacancy @ United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Nepal

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Nepal works with the people and Government of Nepal, and other development partners to pursue equitable and sustainable human development goals through eradication of poverty, increase in livelihood opportunities, improvement in community resilience against conflict, disasters and impact of climate change, while laying down strong foundations for a society based on rule of law with an inclusive and participatory democracy.
 
The UNDP Nepal is seeking applications from qualed, talented and result oriented Nepalese citizens for following assignment:
 
Job title: Regional IT Officer
Contract type and level: Service Contract (SB IV/I )
Project/Cluster: Electoral Support Project
Duty Station: Pokhara
Contract duration: Six months with possibility of extension
Key responsibilities: Provide IT support to UNDP ESP regional team in the area of responsibility (AOR). Provide support to ECN at regional and district level in implementation of newly developed continuous voter registration software. Provide training to data entry operators as a resource person and facilitator. Oversee the voter registration activities in the assigned regions and provide necessary technical support at registration centres.
Required qualification and experience: At least a Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or information technology related fields. Master's degree preferable. At least five years progressive experience for Bachelor's degree holder and three years progressive experience for Master's degree holder in field related to database management, network administration, IT help desk with field level supports and experience in conducting IT Trainings.
