HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal is a Swiss non-governmental organization actively contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal. HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation has been working in Nepal for more than 55 years. Currently, it runs more than fifteen projects in five working areas: Water and Infrastructure, Rural Economy, Environment and Climate, Education and Skills Development, and Governance and Peace.
On behalf of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Trail Bridge Support Unit (TBSU)/HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal provides technical assistance to the Government of Nepal for implementation of trail bridge program under Sector-Wide Approach (SWAp). TBSU/HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal invites applications from Nepali citizen for the following positions:
Position : SWAp Facilitation Manager (2)
Duty station : Trail Bridge Support Unit (TBSU), Lalitpur and its offices outside Lalitpur (with 70% time field accompaniment)
Qualification : Master's Degree in Planning (Development, Regional etc.), Rural Livelihoods, Rural Development, Business Administration, Management or Engineering and 7 years' similar work experience (preferably with a Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering).
Position : Human Resource & Capacity Building Manager (1)
Duty Station : Trail Bridge Support Unit (TBSU), Lalitpur (with 70% time field accompaniment)
Qualification : Master's Degree in Planning (Development, Regional etc.), Business Administration with Human Resources, Education, with Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and having 7 years relevant experience, or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with 5 years relevant experience.
Position: Results Monitoring & Reporting Manager (1)
Duty Station : Trail Bridge Support Unit (TBSU), Lalitpur (with 50% time field accompaniment)
Qualification : Master's Degree in Planning (Development, Regional etc.), Rural Livelihoods, Rural Development, or Business Administration with a Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering with 7 years' experience out of which 3 years in a similar responsibility including experience in Project Cycle Management (PCM) and conversant in Log Frame methodologies.
Position : Trail Bridge Engineer (4)
Duty Station : Trail Bridge Support Unit (TBSU), Lalitpur or its offices outside Lalitpur (with 70% time field accompaniment)
Qualification : Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' engineering work experience. Preference will be given to those candidates who have prior experience in trail bridge building.
Deadline for submission of application : 05 September, 2014
Duration : Initially for three years with a possibility of extension
