Heifer International Nepal is a non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to ending hunger and poverty and caring for earth by empowering and providing smallholder families with livelihoods options, education and other resources to help them become resilient and self-reliant. Heifer invites application from interested and eligible candidates for following position in the upcoming USAID funded project. The position is contingent upon receipt of donor funding.
Environment Compliance Specialist (ECS): will be responsible for making sure the project activities comply with environmental regulations. S/he will monitor project performance, develop compliance strategies, and maintain necessary environmental permits. Location: Based in Sindhuli with minimum of 50% travel to project districts.
Required Qualification: Master's Degree preferred in Environment Management, Environment Science, Environment Engineering, or a relevant field, plus a minimum of 7 years of experience in environment assessments (EIA/IEE), environment compliance, and quality monitoring with a specific focus on development projects.
