PROGRAM ASSOCIATE - AGRICULTURE ECOSYSTEM, GLOBAL ENVIRONMENT FACILITY PROJECT
Major Responsibilities: This is a Sustainable Land Management, Global Environment Facility (GEF) funded project in line with WWF Nepal's Strategic Plan 2012-2016 and the framework of the National Land Use Policy 2012 of Government of Nepal. The Program Associate-Agriculture Ecosystem will be responsible for implementation of the field activities with particular focus on agriculture ecosystem. This position requires more than 50% travel to the field areas.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture (BSc Ag), Environmental Engineering, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in agro-ecosystem together with agro-biodiversity conservation and land management. It is essential that the individual is technically proficient and experienced with agriculture and livestock related programs and working, interacting effectively with a variety of people. The candidate must have worked with agriculture and food security related programs to contribute to sustainable management of agriculture land in the particular region.
